This comic was actually somewhat inspired by a real exchange: I did at one point express interest in purchasing a Mariya dakimakura with the idea of just pretending it’s just his sister, and my friend responded by noting the two characters’ different facial features. I forget where the conversation went from there, but this was a good opportunity to make another lazy Maria Holic gay joke and poke fun at Rets’ insecurity about his sexuality.
Speaking of Maria Holic, its second season turned out better than expected. That could have been because I was watching it raw, missing half of the so-so jokes and instead focusing on the great visuals. Shame Denpa Onna didn’t look that good…
Oh, and speaking of visuals, this comic looks pretty crappy!
I think you mean Mariya’s sister Shizu, right? Not her cousin Shiki Ayari who looks completely different (by having twin drills, for starters, and being racked).
